MINUTES OF THE MEETING:
1.
The meeting was called to order at 10:40 AM with Shelley dela Vega
presiding.
2. Approval of last minutes of the
meeting (July 17, 2004).
3. In response to Pat Querido's email of furnishing
the US ladies a copy of
our List of Contributors and a Final copy of our Financial Report on the Gate
Renovation Project,
the following ladies met earlier to conslidate the lists:
Alma Francisco, Monique Ignacio, Shelley dela Vega, Elisa Rabino
and Suzette
Nazareno.
Shelley consulted Lisa Hirang on the Financial Report and they found
everything in order.
The Reports shall be given to Pat by Monday.
4. Shelley volunteered to be in-charge of the reunion and batch project
so
that the US ladies will have a contact
person for all their queries and
comments. Alma volunteered
to handle the collections of contributions as
Suzette already has her hands full with her responsibilities to the Alumni
Board.
Suzette and Monique will continue to be the signatories for the
disbursement of funds.
5.
Sister Rose, SBS Principal, gave us her approval for the painting of the
SBS entrance and exit gates to BLUE.
6. The ARCHS need to e re-
finished and re-painted as blue paint has melted into the white background. Lisa will coordinate with Grace marfori re garding
the back-job at no extra cost to the batch.
7. Cost estimates for the materials and labor of painting the gate will
be
handled by Lisa. She will also take charge in hiring the laborers. As per her
suggestion, workers should be paid
on a per day basis.
8. It was finalized that the date for the Homecoming will be on November 28, 2004.
9. Lisa will bring sample sizes
for the shirts to be worn by the batch next
meeting.
10. Angga will coordinate with Cookie Antonio regarding the
basketball
exhibition. The batch will be informed by next meeting whether the games will
include the whole court or
not for the purposes of physical arrangement.
11. Eileen will take charge
in confirming attendance of the SBS Faculty and
Staff to the reunion. She is also to ask for their pictures to be included
in
the powerpoint presentation and batch directory.
12. Eileen will give sponsorship letter to Purefoods and arrange
for the
following:
- booths (12)
- banderitas
- banners/streamers (to be put up at the SBS main entrance by Sept)
-
raffle prizes
- purefoods products to be sold
13. Suzette will organize the batch '79 rummage sale. It was agreed
that the
date for this project will be on Sept. 4, 2004 at the SBS grounds. All
contributions must be in by August 28
at he SBS Parent-Teacher conference
Room. Eileen, Angga and Gigi agreed to help in the project.
14. Publicity, TV/Radio
announcements of the Batch Reunion will be handled
by Lisa. Contact person for inquiries will be the SBS Staff. Suzette
wil
coordinate with the school regarding this matter.
15. It was agreed that the music for the dance number will
be "More Than a
Woman", Bee Gees version. The following ladies volunteered to be the corps
group to meet with the dance
instructor: Alma, Monique, Lisa, Gigi, and
Shelley
16. It was agreed that the teachers and staff to be recognized
by the batch
on the reunion be given the batch t-shirt to be placed in Edwina's gift
boxes.
17. Meeting adjourned
at 11:45AM. The next meeting was scheduled on Sept. 4,
10AM together with Batch '74 and '84. August 21 - dance rehearsal.
