Attendees:   The SBS Alumni Homecoming Batch 1979 held a meeting last 7 February 2004 Saturday at the St. Bridgets School AV Room with the following in attendance: Pinky Mabanta-Gonzales, Suzette David, Shelley Ann Dela Vega, Monique Quisumbing-Ignacio, Jane Agar, Gisella Savella, Lisa Marie Hirang, Christy Chavez, Mary Ann Maniquis, Dodi Martinez, Tessa Belleza and Sr. Lourdes Fabia.

Minutes:

1.      Monique gave the present the cash in bank at P87,749.35. The amount of P61,005.23 will be remitted on Monday as the dollar contributions from the U.S.    

2.      The meeting discussed the progress on the batch donation:

a.      The total expenses for the gate has amounted to P56,227.10. We still have to purchase steel bars and cement for P11,721, this is due in 45 days.

b.      The donation plaque will read A Gift from Batch 79.

c.      This summer construction will start on the second gate, and will include rehabilitation of the waiting shed.

3.       Monique presented the souvenir books of Batches 77 and 78. She requested that we have the same and suggested that we all bring our before and after pictures by the next meeting.

4.       For the November 30 reunion, members of the meeting agreed to the following:

a.      Members agreed not to have a live band during the November 30 reunion.

b.      The members of the meeting agreed to present a dance number for the reunion. They will get a dance instructor to teach a 70s dance number. The US members will present a song number.

c.      They also agreed to hold this years reunion at the covered basketball court.

d.      For the Audio Visual Presentation, it was agreed the last time that Nadia Villanueva will be in charge of this project.

e.      Instead of catering, our batch will have booths to sell food. Lisa will try to work on the sponsorship for the booths, Coca Cola was suggested.

f.        The U.S. batch will donate the T-shirts for the reunion.

g.      Sr. Lourdes said that we must acknowledge the guest teachers who will be present during the reunion. The Alumni Board may invite these teachers.

h.       The members also agreed to a party after the reunion.

i.        Shelley said we will allot about P100,000 as budget for this years reunion.

5.       The Christmas party for the year will be on December 4, 2004.

6.       Monique and Suzette will clarify how much of the registration fee to be paid on November 30 will go to the Alumni Board and how much goes to the batch.

7.      Everyone is enjoined to contribute either cash or her time to make the November 30 reunion.

8.       The next meeting has been scheduled for March 8, Saturday.
