October 2002 Reunion
Saint Bridget School Batch 1979

Rain or shine or SNIPER scare, they flew in to Washington DC .....what a trouper.....mark of a real Bridgetine..........

Reunion 2002
On the road to Washington, DC

Among those who attended the reunion were California based Pat Yap-Querido, Betsy Sanchez-Branzuela, Vangie Macatlang-Altez, Celia Duerme-Short, Tippy Luis and Tinette Encinas.  From sunny Florida came Pamela Santiago-Murallon, from Illinois were Maridi Martin-dela Cruz and May Gorospe-Favis. Cherry Groyon-Weathers based in Virginia and Vivien Cruz based in Maryland hosted the successful event.

We also had special guests.  They are fellow Bridgetines from different batches.  Camille Encinas flew in from California, Becky Miranda drove in from New Jersey.  Virginia based San Gabriel sisters, Ludy and Melinda, joined us for a night out.

Thank you all for making this event so memorable........as if it took
us back to our high school days, walang pinagbago, mga bastos pa din and game lahat, walang napikon sa mga pang aalaska.

Rain or shine or SNIPER scare (buti na lang weekend off siya) ,
pumunta pa din kayo.....what a trouper.....mark of a real Bridgetine..........
Most of us flew to DC, some drove like  Becky (from NY-4hours) and May
(from Illinois-12 hours) just to spend the weekend with all of us.

Our hostesses Cherry and Vivien did a very good job of hosting the
event and making it a success.  Meron pa nga kaming agenda na hindi nasunod kasi most of the time kulitan lang naman ang ginawa namin.......but we were able to go to Arlington Cemetery at binisita namin si pareng JFK, then we went to see the Air & Space museum, we had a Taste of DC, we went to Olde Towne Alexandria where I bought the Cereal Killer bowl, we also went to see Pareng Abe sa Lincoln Memorial.

The highlights of the event were:
Guesstures game (alaskado sa amin si Vangie), the exchange gift (si Vivien naman ang alaskado), the  Tequila shots (as usual the Enforcer was the bad influence) and the kicker was that we learned to be on time (kung kailan pa tayo tumanda).   The Enforcer suggested that whoever was late at the designated time and place will pay $1 per minute and guess who was the common factor eh di si Maridi laging bayad siya noh (naubos ang baon sa kakabayad )........The money collected will go to our next reunion at SUNNY
FLORIDA. .....
The next reunion will be in 2004, and Pame will be the hostess and
maybe Vivien as she will be moving to Florida soon.......

This reunion in DC gave some of us some memorable names like:
Boy - Camille (aka little boy and house boy)
  Enforcer - Tinette (aka Colette)
AOL - Vivien (hay naku wala akong masabi)
  Crochet - Vangie
  Hoochie Mama - Pame
Blah Blah - May's little daughter
August - Cherry's son born in September (ang labo talaga)
Tabogana - Maridi's daughter named by Suzette
  Sor Tippy
  Purse consultant - Betsy
  Valedictorian - Celia
  Cool Becky
Melinda - still the cute one
Ludy - sexy pa din and ang cute ng date mo ha.....
ako lang ang walang nickname kasi as usual mabait at mahiyain ako
eh......

To all of you that were not able to make it I hope you'll join us
next time as you really missed a lot.......and this is our chance to be away
and unwind just for a weekend.

See you all in 2004.....

Pat Yap-Querido
